About Me

Kendall is a 2016 graduate of Appalachian State University with degrees in communication studies and journalism.

Though a career in news had always piqued her interest, Kendall really cultivated her skills and nourished her passion for telling people's stories in the two years she interned at Charlotte TV station Time Warner Cable News.

At Appalachian State University, she served as Campus Correspondent and Editor in Chief of the university's chapter of online magazine HerCampus.com.  Over the course of the year, she not only recruited and managed a team of 30 writers, but also increased the chapter standing from the top 30 percent of Her Campus chapters to the highest honor of being ranked in the top 15 percent of chapters internationally.

In addition to writing endeavours, Kendall was also the president of student organization AppSpeaks that served to start discussion on the campus of Appalachian State University through panels, forums, weekly discussion groups, and an anual night of student-led TED talks.

Her work as a journalist is heavily motivated by the necessity for us as humans to share our stories and spark important dialogues that create change in our communities.

She is curious, strives to learn something new every day and thrives in a fast- paced environment.
